Collection des Études augustiniennes, série Moyen Âge et Temps Modernes (EAMA)

The Collection of Augustinian Studies, Medieval and Modern Series (EAMA) comprises circa 50 volumes, and complements the Antiquity Series. It covers the history of the reception of the work and thought of St. Augustine, Augustinianism, and also, more generally, the history of Christian ideas and the Christian tradition, during the whole medieval and modern period. Publications in this collection are furnished with extensive notes and indices, and rooted in a deep knowledge of scholarly bibiography and the most recent research findings. These monographs are substantial contributions to the study of the legacy of the Greek and Latin fathers through the ages, and of various aspects of Christian literature, history and thought up to the 18th century.

Reacting to the evolving forms of contemporary research, the Collection also publishes collective works, produced as the result of international scholarly conferences. The majority of the Collection’s books are in French, but publication in the other international scholarly languages is not excluded.

The Collection of Augustinian Studies, Antiquity Series is edited by Frédéric Chapot, professor at the University of Strasbourg, with the assistance of a scientific council, made up of Nicole Bériou (Institut de Recherche et d’Histoire des Textes, Paris), Marie-Odile Boulnois (École pratique des Hautes Études, Sciences religieuses), Anne-Isabelle Bouton-Touboulic (Université Charles de Gaulle - Lille 3), François Dolbeau (École pratique des Hautes Études, IVe section), Cédric Giraud (Université de Lorraine), Michel-Yves Perrin (École pratique des Hautes Études, Sciences religieuses), Pierre Petitmengin (École Normale Supérieure, Paris) et Vincent Zarini (Paris-Sorbonne, Paris IV).
